Shutter Speed /LightPainting

Shutter speed is about.....

-controlling the exposure- in order for an image to be captured it must be exposed to light. 

Longer the shutter speed= more light

The shutter blocks all light from being exposed UNTIL you press the button. The it "quickly" opens & closes.

Light Painting
 created with a "slow" or long shutter speed using a tripod the shutter remains open for longer time

Practice in the D18 darkroom
